When user executes the ‘Urdu Word Pad’ utility, the utility searches for the location of MS WordPad. After the MS WordPad is located, its path is stored for the future reference. This helps in decreasing the loading time of the utility. The utility automatically launches the MS WordPad and sets its font to ‘ALKATIB1’. It also sets the paragraph alignment to right. Now the user is allowed to write and edit in the ‘Urdu Word Pad’. When the user presses the ENTER (Return) key, the contents of the ‘Urdu Word Pad’ are transferred to MS WordPad. If the user presses ENTER (Return) key while holding down the CTRL key, the cursor moves to the next line in the MS WordPad.

• Automatically searches for the MS WordPad.
• Saves the location (path) of the MS WordPad, which eliminates the need of future searches.
• Automatically executes MS WordPad.
• Automatically sets the required font in MS WordPad.
• Automatically sets the right alignment in MS WordPad.
• Copies the Urdu characters of ‘Urdu Word Pad’ and pastes to MS WordPad. (when the user presses ENTER key)
• Automatically resizes to assimilate the maximum number of Urdu characters.
• Moves the cursor (caret) to the next line. (when the user presses ENTER + CTRL key)
• Font size of Urdu Text can be changed and it can also be made bold in the ‘Urdu Word Pad’. (this does not alter the font properties in MS WordPad)
• User can manually set the search option. (through the properties option)
• Urdu Text Box can be cleared by pressing DEL key

Note: ‘ALKATIB1’ True Type font should be installed in system prior to viewing the documents.
